Occultation Observation (Status: review in progress !)
Occultation Date : 2025-12-13 Star Designation : Other J03341980+122219.3 Object Designation : (17302) 4610 P-L Observation Result : O- Observer(s) : Jocelyn SEROT Start Observation UT1 : 23:33:14 Disappearance UT2 : :: Reappearance UT3 : :: End Observation UT4 : 23:35:14 Duration [sec] : Site Name : Bangor Country Code : FR Observation Method : VID Time Source : ? Instrument/Optics : M210 Record last modified : 2025-12-14 21:23:29 Source / Reference : SODIS (account required) Observer Comments : Estimated probability at observation site was 100% (see attached file search.png). The predicted errors were very small (see event.png). I’m quite sure the observed target is the right one (see attached files skychart_1deg.png, skychart_cam.png and recorded_field.png, which perfectly match the map given on the OWC site). So, this negative result is puzzling. It could indicate (?) : i) an error in the occulted star identification ii) underestimated errors (in PW and/or ime). There’s no previous entry for this asteroid in the SODIS-IOTA database. Feedbacks welcome !
