Occultation Observation (Status: published)
Occultation Date : 2026-06-08 Star Designation : UCAC4 333-217332 Object Designation : (66) Maja Observation Result : O+ Observer(s) : Piotr Walczak Start Observation UT1 : 00:14:37 Disappearance UT2 : 00:15:23.3 +/- 1.100 Reappearance UT3 : 00:15:44.300 +/- 1.100 End Observation UT4 : 00:16:49 Duration [sec] : 21.00 Site Name : Skierniewice Country Code : PL Observation Method : VID Time Source : GPS Instrument/Optics : M130 Record last modified : 2026-10-09 10:26:01 Source / Reference : SODIS (account required) Observer Comments : [W. Burzynski] Due to the low SNR of 2.3 on original recording at the time of the event, it is impossible to definitively characterize the nature of the irregular drop in brightness during the disappearance phase. The event appears to be a grazing occultation (or binary?); this is consistent with the observer's location at the edge of the path. A re-analysis of the light curve (LC) was performed; during the disappearancen phase, two frames (Maja_WB.png) are clearly visible in which the brightness increases slightly. The LC file (Maja.lc) is also attached. The 80 MB recording is available upon request. New report and new TAB 5 file attached, old ones keeped.
